Will USC be a Powerhouse in 2008?
USC is just one of those schools…you either love them or hate them. No matter what your feelings about USC football, though, you have to admit that this is one of the most-watched programs in the entire NCAA. So the question being asked today is this: With the loss of some of their key players, does this team have a chance this coming year?
True, they did lose Sedrick Ellis, as well as Lawrence Jackson, but USC does still have that spark, that something special - they have Pete Carroll. Love him or hate him, Coach Carroll is a great coach, and he’s looking to take the Trojans to another Pac-10 title.
Can they do it? Maybe - but it will depend on the quarterback situation. Without John David Booty, will the offense be strong enough? It is definitely possible, because they have two former five-stars competing for the starting spot. They have some rising offensive and defensive line stars, so with the right quarterback, I think they can be Pac-10 champs again.
Do you think that UCS can take it to the next level in 2008?
