Update on the Taylor Bradford Murder Case
Last September, University of Memphis football player Taylor Bradford was shot outside of his apartment. The 23-year-old student athlete managed to drive away, but his wounds were deadly, and he died just a few blocks away from the attack.
Today, prosecutes announced that the four suspects that have been in jail since October are being officially indicted on murder charges. The alleged killers are:
- Courtney Washington, 23
- Daeshawn Tate, 22
- Victor Trezevant, 21
- Devin Jefferson, 21
What really happened here? We may never know. Police suspect that Bradford was targeted by people he knew in an attempt to steal recent casino winnings that he had on his person when he was found.
Are these the real killers? It looks that way, but our legal system isn’t perfect. I’m hoping that they are, though, because this world deserves a little justice now and again. When someone is shot and killed over $3000, we need to take a moment and think about our society’s moral standards.
