Project Blog is Moving to BCS Frenzy!

by Allison on January 8th, 2008

Ok, I know that most of you sports fans out there probably have never watched Bravo in your life…but hang in there with me for a moment. Back in the day (ok, like last week) I wrote Reality on Bravo for the 451 Press network. I’ve since decided to leave, but we were in the middle of giving away some prize awesome prizes to readers…and now I’m going to pass on those prizes to YOU GUYS.

WOO HOO. Yes, I’m f’ing awesome. Love me.

Anyway, Project Blog coincides with the Bravo show Project Runway…but you don’t have to watch the show to win. All you have to do is leave some comments and check back regularly for new prize announcements. The basis of the competition is this: we started with 10 bloggers from all subject areas (include the Sports Channel’s own Jodie from Gossip on Sports). Every week, they have blogging challenges and readers vote on who gets sent packing. Every week, there’s also a mini-prize for the blogger who wins that week AND…drumroll…awesome prizes for you guys.

We currently have FIVE amazing bloggers left in the competition, and you’ll have a bunch of chances to win! You can read more about Project Blog here.

What’s the prize this week? It’s top secret until tomorrow…but you can already have ONE chance to win by leaving a commit (with a legit email address so I can find you if you win) on this post answering the following question:

Do you watch Project Runway? If not, what do you plan to watch now that college football is over for the year?

You can comment as often as you want, but only your first entry counts for the drawing. Check back tomorrow for another chance to enter and to find out about the prize!

Uh oh. What’s that I hear? Is that Jodie’s entry getting more votes with the move?

I had the same thought as Sally! Still, there is a kind of poetic justice to it. Moving away from the reality TV culture could really rock the vote.

    Luckily I visit both blogs.

Yes, I watch Project Runway - but sadly it only takes up 1 hour a week :(

As for the other empty hours (without any college football) - I’ll be tracking the recruiting scene, college basketball, and getting ready for Penn State’s Spring Scrimmage.

The Project Blog contest belongs here… because, in a battle about honor, love and vengeance, only one blogger will survive…Blogsport!

FWIW, I’ll be blogging, for the lovable street orphan whose sister was killed by a cabal of evil network overlords.

These fists of steel will not rest until they avenge his family’s honor.

They will, however, make it difficult to type….

    Haaai-yah!

Not to worry, fellow blogtestants. Allison was just doing what our channel editor encourages us to do–cross-promote the other sports blogs. I appreciate it and I’m 120% certain it won’t affect the contest results.

I’d say “Don’t be overly competitive,” but given that we’re on a sports channel now, I guess it’s OK . . . even if you are all scaring me . . .
