Penn State - Temple Results
Penn State really isn’t that bad. Today, this shut out Temple on the road, scoring 31 unanswered points against the Owls. Now, granted, a win against Temple (3-7) isn’t a huge feat. But you know what? Anthony Morelli, a quarterback that many consider to be the worst in the top 25, didn’t look too bad. And Kevin Kelly, the kicker had a perfect day with four extra points and a field goal. They actually let Morelli throw today, and he didn’t do too badly. At least, they didn’t have to rely no rushing to win this game.
So, final score #23 Penn State 31, Temple 0
In other news, Ohio State just scored against Illinois on the opening drive. We’ll see if they keep this momentum going…

I was at the game on Saturday, and despite decent numbers, Morelli did not look good. He was back to his old ways of staring down the intended receiver. Luckily his receivers are talented route runners and pretty good actors.
Penn State’s secondary was playing extremely soft in the first half - they made some good adjustments at halftime - as usual, Sean Lee had a great game.
Temple played a much better game than the score suggests. They made some major mistakes on key plays - but for that the tempo of the game would have been very different. Al Golden is doing a good job - Joe should be proud.
