Inside the 2008 NFL Draft: Cincinnati Bengals
Now that we’ve had a bit of time to think about the draft picks, let’s go through them one by one. How did your favorite team do? Here’s my take on the Cincinnati Bengals.
Draft Picks:
Keith Rivers, OLB, USC (Rd. 1, Pick 9)
Jerome Simpson, WR, Coastal Carolina (Rd. 2)
Pat Sims, DT, Auburn (Rd. 3)
Andre Caldwell, WR, Florida (Rd. 3)
Anthony Collins, OT, Kansas (Rd. 4)
Jason Shirley, NT, Fresno State (Rd. 5)
Corey Lynch, DB, App State (Rd. 6)
Matt Sherry, TE, Villanova (Rd. 6)
Angelo Craig, DE, Cincinnati (Rd. 7)
Mario Urrutia, WR, Louisvill (Rd. 7)
Best Value:
Keith Rivers
There’s no getting around this one - Keith Rivers was a great player in college and, I suspect, will also be great in the NFL. He went ninth overall, which means that he didn’t come cheap, but my bet is that he’ll be well worth the price tag.
