Inside the 2008 NFL Draft: Baltimore Ravens
Now that we’ve had a bit of time to think about the draft picks, let’s go through them one by one. How did your favorite team do? Here’s my take on the Baltimore Ravens.
Draft Picks:
Joe Flacco, QB, Delaware (Rd. 1, Pick 18)
Ray Rice, RB, Rutgers (Rd. 2)
Tavares Gooden, ILB, Miami (FL) (Rd. 3)
Tom Zbikowski, SS, Notre Dame, (Rd. 3)
Oniel Cousins, OG, Texas-El Paso (Rd. 3)
Macus Smith, WR, New Mexico, (Rd. 4)
David Hale, OT, Weber State (Rd. 4)
Haruki Nakamura, DB, Cincinnati (Rd. 6)
Justin Harper, SE, Virginia Tech (Rd. 7)
Allen Patrick, RB, Oklahoma (Rd. 7)
Best Value:
Ray Rice
Although I love Joe Flacco, I think that the very value in this draft for the Ravens was running back Ray Rice. Rutgers isn’t the most-watched school, but I really think this guy has some talent. As a second-round pick, the Ravens got a great player! He’s definitely someone to watch in the NFL.
