Hawaii Remains Undefeated
The best team with the worst schedule remains undefeated, and Colt Brennan Tyler Graunke led Hawaii to a 28-26 victory over Nevada. The team is now 11-0, making them the only BCS team, over than Kansas, to remain perfect. With Brennan out due to hard hit last week that knocked him out cold, Graunke really stepped up, showing that the ‘Bows have a whole team of talented players, a testament to their coaching staff.
Unfortunately, this means that Brennan’s bid for the Heisman - even though it was a real long shot in the first place - has officially ended. Who’s still in the race? Hell if I know. I thought we had a clear cut winner with Dennis Dixon, but now that he’s out for the rest of the season, it looks like he’s lost his chance (although I bet he’ll still get an invitation to New York). Will Tim Tebow win it? Say it isn’t so!
Anyway…next week is Hawaii’s real test as they play Boise State, the only other ranked team thay’ve come up against all year. Boise State is currently undefeated in the conference, with their only loss coming against Washington. Today they play against Idaho, raning 1-9, so the game should be an easy win. I say “should be” because this year, better teams have fallen to Ap State, Notre Dame, and Stanford…
