Last week, KARK-TV ran a news story that no one believes is true…and for that, Askansas officials and the McFadden family have to spend time and money investigating star running back Darren McFadden’s life.

I’m not saying that sports agents never bribe players with fancy gifts. It happens all the time. However, I whole-heartedly believe that McFadden is a smart guy on the top of his game. This story is bullshit.

Basically, a sports agent, Mike Conley (who, by the way, is not even a certified sports agent), recently purchased a car. The same time, McFadden was borrowing his mother’s Cadillac Escalade. KARK-TV decided that this was grounds for declaring that McFadden was possibly driving a car that an agent bought for him. Conley hasn’t even been to Fayetteville recently…

KARK-TV has already apologized and basically admitted that they speculated the whole story from start to finish based on two circumstantial facts. But, because of NCAA polidy, Arkansas has to investigate the situation. What a pain in the ass.
