Game Day Recipe of the Week: S’mores Bars
Who doesn’t like some great snacks to eat while you watch your favorite team win? Every Wednesday, I’ll be posting a “Game Day Recipe of the Week,” which gives you plenty of time to pick up the ingredients before you head off for tailgating or invite the guys (and gals) over for the game. These recipes are quick, easy, cheap, and oh-so-tasty!
S’mores Bars
Time to make: 20 minutes
Cost for ingredients: around $5 (a bit more if you have to buy butter or if you go for name-brand)
Serves: 5-10 people
Ingredients:
Graham Crackers
Two or Three Handfuls of Mini Marshmallows
1 Package of Chocolate Chips (milk, dark, semi, white…even pb chips work! Choose your fave or mix and match)
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
- Preheat over to 350 degrees.
- Melt butter in the microwave.
- Spray a cookie sheet with pam or use a non-stick cookie sheet.
- Layout enough graham crackers to cover the cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle mini marshmallows and chips over the graham crackers.
- Mix brown sugar into butter. Use a spoon to drizzle over the cookie sheet.
- Bake for about 10 minutes. The marshmallows should be all puffy and gooey and brown, but the bottom of the bars should not be black.
- Cool before trying to cut.
Going to make these for your game day? If you do, drop me a note and let me know - take a picture and I’ll post it!
