RIP Heath Benedict

How very, very sad…
This week, football lost a draft prospect that could have been great. More importantly, though, the NCAA is mourning the loss of not a person that could have been great…a person who simple was great.
Heath Benedict, a 24-year-old offensive lineman from Jacksonville, was found dead in his home yesterday.
Benedict was the first […]

Tell Me What You Want, What You Really, Really Want

Why am I singing the Spice Girls? Well, other than the fact that I love the Spice Girls the song sticks in your head easily, the Spice Girls are what I think of when someone says “Girl Power!”
And Girl Power is the best way to describe this story. It makes sense - why can’t a […]

San Diego State’s Game is Postponed

I can’t remember the last time a major college football game was canceled or postponed. However, this weekend, you won’t be seeing the San Diego State - BYU game. The conference has decided to play the game instead on December 1. Many homes of the coaches and players, as well as college administration, are in […]

The Austin Scott Rape: It Will Be Hard To Prove

When it comes to the Austin Scott rape allegations, everyone seems to have a theory. ESPN and other news sources are simply reporting that the suspended Penn State running back was charged of rape, sexual assault, and aggravated indecent assault connected to an October 5 incident with a girl he met at the bar. […]

Weigh In: How do You Feel about George Gipp’s Exhumation?

As I’m sure you know by now, the biggest college football story on the ‘net (other than the stupid speculation that JoePa acted out of line during a confrontation with another driver) is the exhumation of Notre Dame legend George Gipp. Gipp was reportedly exhumed so scientists could take a DNA sample in order to […]

Cincinnati Cashes in on the DJ College Football Frenzy

First he was all about the Irish. Then Northern Illinois was looking pretty sweet. Now, Demetrius Jones has reported that he intends to be a Cincinnati Bearcat. Cincinnati is current 4-0, and Jones thinks the school is a “perfect fit.”
After all, they have “top-notch facilities” and “a head coach who’s been coaching for 16 years.” […]
