Buckeyes are One QB Down…Tressel does not Notice

by Allison on June 20th, 2008

Sources are saying that Ohio State’s Antonio Henton is transferring to Georgia South.

Antonio who?

Now, granted, I’m not an OSU fan, but even those who are might not really know this name. Henton is a redshirt sophomore that sat out much of 2007 after pleading guilty to charge of loitering for prostitution. His spot as first back-up wasn’t guaranteed, as redshirt frosh Joe Bauserman and up-n-coming Terrelle Pryor were also in the mix.

Jim Tressel would not confirm Henton’s move to Georgia Southern - maybe because he didn’t even notice? After all OSU has Todd Boeckman, who I think could potentially be the number one QB of 2008, as well as tons of other QB talent.

Ok, I’m joking. Tressel surely noticed.

…he just didn’t care.

Ouch.

Alright, I’m done now.

In actuality, I wish Henton the best. Georgia Southern isn’t a school that’s on the map as far as football goes, but he will have three years of eligibility and the opportunity to really shine instead of constantly stand in the shadows. It’s a smart move, and I think the kid will do well.
